Google and Motorola Asked To Give Apple Their Android Development Secrets
As strange as it might seem, U.S. Circuit Judge Richard Posner has ordered Google and Motorola to hand over development details of the Android operating system to Apple.
Not only that, but Motorola Mobility must also provide Apple information regarding its pending acquisition by Google.
The reason for this is the ongoing patent lawsuit filed by Apple back in 2010 against Motorola. To try and handle the situation, Motorola’s attorney responded to the judge’s demand:
Google’s employees and documents are not within the ‘possession, custody, or control’ of Motorola, and Motorola cannot force Google to produce documents or witnesses over Google’s objections
It is rather strange, that a judge should ask for Motorola and Google to hand over crucial Android development information to Apple, which is their direct competitor not only in the smartphone market, but in the tablet one as well.
This is going to be an interesting one. What do you think?
10,000 Followers Special
Aloha amigos!
I am currently at 8686 followers. ATS is a “popular account” as per Trendsmap in 4 cities – Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai.
Apart from that, as far as I know, a handful of Bollywood Celebrities are following ATS as well. Which I guess is good, obviously.
So.. I hope to reach 10K before 10th March. And because of the 10-10 thing, I thought of a random idea.
If you have a weird, fun, cool, or any fact at all, send it to me via email – techfactsoriginal@gmail.com (I made the email in a hurry during setup :P).
I’ll have em tweeted on the 10th of March between 10am and 10pm, and obviously give you credit! (Via @UrHandle)
However, the facts have to be in 140 characters. If needed, a blog post from this blog can be given along with it for which you can send the materials etc. But preferably 140 characters short.
The ideas totally random. But I look forward to your participation! Could be fun! And if it goes off well, we could probably have more user submitted facts! :)
Anyways, have a good day! :)
Introduction, Disclaimer
Hello y’all!
First of all, I must say Thank You.
You people have been absolutely great with the awesome support you have been providing. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t too sure about what I was doing when I decided on starting ATS… I thought why would anyone even follow us.
But, we got 1000+ followers in the first day and are running super strong since. This is nothing short of humbling. :)
Now, there are some things you all must know. A few facts, lets say::
—> I don’t tweet real time from the ATS Account. I use TwitVance and post the tweets in advance.
—> Apparently, people find it a bit irritating if their timelines are flooded with constant tweets, so I’ve decided on a 1 Fact/1 Hour tweet basis.
—> I don’t regularly read the mentions, and I don’t even reply. That’s only to keep the tweets from the account clean and “only facts” kinda thing.
I suppose most of the questions, in general can be answered now. So a small FAQ kinda thing.
Q) Who am I?
A) I don’t want to reveal who I am at the moment, but I am not a bot. I don’t want to divert the attention from this account to my account so fast. :)
Q) Where do I get the facts from?
A) I’m also a software engineer, hence I have built a custom software for myself which scrapes the net for facts. It works by tearing pages down and finding keywords like – facts, tech, technology, fun etc and/or anything similar which goes into a database which I personally read and go through every one of them before lining them up in queue for you all.
Q) Will I ever run out of facts?
A) I hope not. Well, at least not for a decently long while :)
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask on Twitter, and I’ll get back asap collecting all tweets and answer in another post. Sorry for all this extra work :)
Again, thank you so much for the support. Enjoy! :)
